The bullet went through the man’s wrist and into his thigh, and was surgically removed a month later.Article contentArticle contentPolice witnessed Fowler driving a vehicle with two others aboard, and saw someone throw a loaded .38 calibre handgun into a roadside ditch in Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s. Forensic testing revealed it carried Fowler’s DNA and could have fired the recovered bullet.Article contentRNC officers used a spike belt in an effort to stop the vehicle, which continued travelling on deflated tires until police blocked it from the front and back with their vehicles.Article contentFowler resisted arrest and officers tasered him before pulling him from the car and taking him into custody.Article content
