David Clarke testified that he was sent to 124 Avenue P South around 8 p.m. on Sept. 8 “for a suicide in progress.” He arrived to find Brown sitting on the front step, he said.They spoke and Clarke said she indicated “she had multiple options to consider suicide that day.” She added that she had stopped taking her prescribed medications “and was having violent and suicidal ideations,” Clarke said.He drove her to Royal University Hospital, where she was admitted.Const. Cameron Graves testified that he was sent to the University Bridge around 10 p.m. that night after a report of a woman standing on the concrete railing, holding onto a light standard.That woman was Nykera Brown, he said.Multiple officers arrived and approached her from different directions. At one point, while speaking with an officer, she let go of the light standard and crouched down.
