(Hanna Petersen/CBC)Police have reopened the area surrounding the courthouse in downtown Prince George, B.C., after the building was evacuated Thursday morning.The courthouse had been evacuated and the blocks immediately surrounding it, from 2nd to 3rd Avenue, and from Queensway to George Street, were closed. The area was taped off while police, bylaw and sheriff vehicles were on the scene.While the public had been asked to stay away, as of about 1:30 p.m. PT, police say they will be allowing people back into the area, including the courthouse and surrounding businesses.”We thank everyone for their cooperation in staying away from downtown while we conducted our investigation,” Prince George RCMP Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said in a media release.
