(Trevor Pritchard/CBC)A family of 10 has been displaced after their Pembroke, Ont., home caught fire Sunday morning, local officials say.Firefighters were called to the home on Wallace Street just after 10 a.m., according to a news release from the Pembroke Fire Department.By the time crews were on scene, flames had breached a bedroom window and were headed toward the roof and attic, Chief Scott Selle wrote in the release.Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, but not before the home suffered “extensive smoke and heat damage,” Selle said.Initial reports suggested one person was still inside the home, Selle said, but eventually everyone was accounted for.One person was taken to hospital in Pembroke, while two others were treated at the scene.The fire department continues to investigate.
