(Paul Poirier/CBC)Police say they are investigating a homicide after a 70-year-old man was found fatally injured at a home in Halifax’s North End on Wednesday.A news release from Halifax Regional Police Friday morning said officers responded to a report of an injured man at a residence on Richmond Street around 1:30 p.m. AT.It said police, firefighters and paramedics all responded and attempted to save the man’s life, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.The victim has been identified as 70-year-old Brian David Johnson of Halifax.The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service conducted an autopsy on Thursday and confirmed the manner of death to be homicide.The news release did not say exactly how the man died or if they are seeking a suspect in the case.It said the investigation is being led by Halifax police and the RCMP’s integrated criminal investigation division.Anyone with information is asked to contact police.MORE TOP STORIES
