RCMP, said the police force is still piecing the information together but Rennie’s Road between Hunter River and New Glasgow was closed to traffic for a portion of the day.Article contentArticle contentArticle content“Four police vehicles have been damaged, some of them have been written off but I don’t know how many yet,” Ferris told The Guardian.Article contentThe RCMP responded to the incident at 12:20 p.m. and the pursuit happened over a period of time.Article contentFerris could not provide any details as to where the pursuit began but that it did end on Rennie’s Road.Article content“Because of the damage the vehicles incurred, there was a traffic analyst and collision reconstructionist to take a look at things so that is why we needed to close the road,” Ferris said. “Police needed to do their job, taking measurements and all of the other evidence that would be required at a scene like that.”Article content
