Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating.According to the release, Summerside police say they responded to a report of a residential fire on Belmont Street at around 11:38 p.m.When police and the Summerside Fire Department arrived, they found a two-storey residence engulfed in flames. The sole occupant of the residence escaped the fire and there are no reports of injuries.Neighbouring residences were evacuated, according to the release. Several vehicles at the neighbouring residences were damaged.Two residences appear to have been destroyed, the release states, while a third is heavily damaged.Police are asking those in the area with any relevant information to contact them at 902-432-1201.
