Photo by ContributedJanice Landry will be the keynote speaker at the Volunteer Leadership Symposium taking place May 14 in Kentville.She is known for her 35-year journalism career in radio and television. In recent years, she has turned her talents towards writing, teaching, writing and producing.“One of the main takeaways of my new book, Every Little Thing, is that we all have gifts to share in order to lift up others and spread light.” Landry said in a news release. “Helpers and volunteers wear many hats, and they are the backbone of every community. We want to provide practical information, but we also want to inspire.”The symposium is taking place at the Nova Scotia Community College Kingstec Campus in Kentville, May 14 from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $15, which includes lunch, and are available from the volunteerns.ca website.Article content
