(Dan Taekema/CBC)Kingston police are investigating an alleged group assault that they say may involve suspects with gang ties and a subsequent vehicle fire that they say may be connected.On Sunday at 5 p.m., officers responded to an apartment building on Queen Mary Road after reports about a person under assault by a group.Officers found a victim with non-life-threatening injuries. Seven people between the ages of 35 to 62 were arrested on Sunday and Monday. They face charges of break and enter, assault, and possession of weapons dangerous to the public peace. Four of the accused are believed to have ties to an “outlaw” motorcycle club, police stated in a news release. Officers also responded to a vehicle fire on Sunday near Braelorne Place and Pembridge Crescent at around 7:15 p.m.The police investigation has found that an incendiary device was used to set the car on fire.”Investigators believe both of these incidents were targeted and are currently looking into the possibility that they are related,” police wrote.With files from Gabrielle Huston
