Murray MacKay Bridge will be closed to all traffic from 8 p.m. Friday until Monday at 5:30 a.m. Halifax Harbour Bridges said in a news release the bridge will be closed to allow crews to complete “critical maintenance work.” The Angus L. Macdonald Bridge will remain open all weekend, but vehicles weighing more than 3,200 kilograms, with the exception of passenger buses, will not be permitted to cross.Travel delays are expected. Halifax Harbour Bridges encourages commuters to: Allow extra travel time. Avoid peak travel hours. Exercise caution and patience with other drivers. Use alternate routes.
