RCMP are now describing his disappearance as “suspicious.” (Saskatchewan RCMP)The RCMP’s major crimes unit has taken over the investigation of a missing teenage boy in northern Saskatchewan.Jay’siiah Webb-Long, 16, had been living in Pelican Narrows in the spring.According to police, he had been messaging with his mother over social media, but that contact stopped on May 16.He’s originally from Brampton, Ont., and left the province in March, before coming to Saskatchewan.Saskatchewan RCMP say they were able to track down the address where they believe Webb-Long had been living in Pelican Narrows, but when they went there, they were told the teen had evacuated the area due to wildfires.Now, they’re treating the case as suspicious.Webb-Long is Black and about 5-11, with a slim build. He has black, with shoulder-length hair styled in braids.Anyone with information about him is asked to call the RCMP or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8427.
