(Spencer Colby/The Canadian Press)A 46-year-old Marmora and Lake Township man has been charged with attempted murder after shots were reportedly fired Wednesday at a home in Marmora, about 100 kilometres west of Kingston, according to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). OPP officers and the canine unit were called to High Shore Road near Highway 7 just after 1 p.m. following reports of shots fired, according to a news release issued Thursday morning. OPP said there were no serious injuries.A suspect was located within an hour and arrested “without further incident,” police said.The accused has been charged with attempted murder, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, forcible entry and other charges.The man is being held in custody. A bail hearing is scheduled for Thursday in Belleville. The scene is about 190 kilometres southwest of downtown Ottawa.
