(Tyson Koschik/CBC)A man has been charged with attempted murder after a boy, 16, was found with a serious gunshot wound at a home in The Pas early Sunday morning, police say.RCMP responded to a report of shots fired at a Settee Avenue home around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, police said in a news release on Monday.Officers were directed to the basement, where they found a 16-year-old boy who had suffered a serious gunshot wound, police say. The teen was taken to hospital in critical condition, and was later sent to Winnipeg where his condition was upgraded to stable.A man, 24, from The Pas was arrested at the scene and now faces charges of attempted murder, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, careless use of a firearm, two counts of pointing a firearm and for breaching conditions of a release order, RCMP say.The teen and the man charged know each other, and police say there is no threat to the community as their investigation continues.
