The public is advised to avoid the area.No one in custody, public advised to avoid area of Presland Road and Lola StreetCBC News · Posted: Oct 03, 2025 1:16 PM EDT | Last Updated: 14 minutes agoA man was hospitalized with gunshot wounds on Friday after a daylight shooting in Overbrook, according to Ottawa Police and paramedics. Shortly before 1 p.m., police posted on social media that they were at the scene of a shooting in the area of Presland Road and Lola Street.”One person has been transported to hospital. No one is in custody at this time. Please avoid the area,” police wrote.An adult male was taken to hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries, according to a spokesperson for Ottawa paramedics.Paramedics were called to the scene at 11:40 a.m. but only located the patient 25 minutes later, Marc-Antoine Deschamps told CBC.  More to come.
