(Trevor Brine/CBC)Technical and clerical workers for Manitoba Hydro have ratified a new collective agreement.The Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 998 said the deal provides general wage increases of 9.5 per cent over its three-year term, which ends Dec. 31, 2027.It also provides additional increases for the lowest-paid and long-service employees, bringing the total value of the agreement to 12 per cent, the union said in a news release Wednesday.The contract covers about 1,000 workers, spokesperson Dale Edmunds said.Voting took place on Friday, with 80 per cent of the members casting a ballot.The agreement was approved by 82 per cent of those who voted.More news from CBC Manitoba:
