(Submitted by RCMP)A 69-year-old man has been found dead more than a month after he went missing, police say.Stewart Campbell, 69, was reported missing after he was reported last seen near Stonewall, north of Winnipeg, around 3:30 a.m. on July 15. RCMP issued a Silver Alert — a notification made when a vulnerable adult goes missing — on July 18.Investigators learned that a cat crate bearing Campbell’s last name was found in a bushy area in a field about three kilometres southwest of Springstein, a community about 20 kilometres southwest of Winnipeg, police said Tuesday.Campbell was found dead by searchers who went to that area on Monday, police said.Ten days after he went missing, Campbell’s empty vehicle was found on Road 3 W. about 500 metres north of Highway 2, which is about four kilometres southwest of Springstein.RCMP continue to investigate Campbell’s death, but no criminality is suspected.
