(Annie Rice/The Associated Press)Manitoba is warning people who were at a Winnipeg school and two other locations in the city recently they may have been exposed to measles.Anyone who was at Carpathia School from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 16-19 is being asked to monitor for symptoms until Oct. 8-11.Officials said last week children at the elementary school in the city’s River Heights neighbourhood may have been exposed to the highly contagious disease during their first week back from summer break.The province also said Friday people who were at the Urban Pulse Medical Clinic on St. James Street on Monday, Sept. 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., and the nearby McDonald’s at 1440 Ellice Ave. from noon to 3 p.m. should watch out for symptoms until Oct. 14.Measles symptoms generally appear seven to 21 days after exposure, the province says.There have been 211 confirmed and 17 probable cases reported in the province so far this year, according to the latest update, which includes cases up to Sept. 20.A total of 4,972 cases had been reported this year across Canada as of Sept. 13.A full list of measles exposure sites in Manitoba can be found here.
