Published 9:30 am Wednesday, December 3, 2025 Lynn Mike has resigned as Pangnirtung’s mayor, according to a Dec. 3 post from the municipality’s Facebook page. Mike was elected in October 2023. She oversaw a response to the complete loss of water service this past September. “We extend our sincere appreciation to Mayor Mike for her leadership, dedication and the contributions she made while serving our community. We recognize the demands of public office and thank her for the time and effort she devoted to Pangnirtung,” the municipality’s post stated. The next steps for filling a mayoral vacancy under the Nunavut Elections Act are being taken by the municipality, the post added.
