He’s been painting for 60 years, and says the trait runs in his family.Today, Gamble paints mainly with acrylic, but has also used oils, charcoal, and pencil. Additionally, he etches by hand on glassware and also carves stone and wood. John Gamble, from Alberton, P.E.I., has been painting for over 60 years. ContributedGamble says a lot of his inspiration comes from the beaches and wharves. He also ends up doing a lot of custom orders, especially on memory balls and canvas. John Gamble’s most popular items are his memory balls, like this one featuring the West Point Lighthouse. ContributedAnd people have taken notice of his work, and he describes how it can now be found all over the world.
