Motorcyclist killed after colliding with pickup truck

(Lynda Paradis/Radio-Canada)A motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a pickup truck in western Quebec, provincial police say.The crash happened at around 6:30 p.m. Saturday on Highway 105 near Kazabazua, Que., according to a news release from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).The northbound truck apparently made a left-hand turn and the southbound motorcycle couldn’t avoid the impact, the SQ said.The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.An investigation into the crash is underway, the SQ said. As of 8:20 p.m., Highway 105 was still closed near the scene of the collision.Kazabazua is roughly 80 kilometres northwest of downtown Ottawa.
