(David Bates/Radio-Canada)The operating room at the Papineau Hospital in western Quebec has reopened after a sterilization equipment failure forced its closure over the summer, according to the regional health authority.The hospital 40 kilometres northeast of downtown Ottawa started transferring patients and staff from its operating room to the Gatineau Hospital in late June.Emergency patients were also transferred to Hull.In a statement on Thursday, health authority CISSSO said the operating room reopened Sept. 17 after two new sterilizing machines were installed.Twenty-two CISSSO employees are now back to work in Papineau, it said.With files from Radio-Canada
