(Erin Brohman/CBC)A pedestrian is dead after he was struck by a vehicle in Winnipeg’s North End neighbourhood on Saturday afternoon, police said.Just before 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to reports of a vehicle collision involving a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck and a pedestrian near the intersection of Selkirk Avenue and Salter Street, police said in a news release Sunday. Police said a 68-year-old man was taken to hospital in critical condition. He died as a result of his injuries, the release said.Police said traffic collision officials are still investigating the crash. Anyone with information — including dashboard camera video — is encouraged to call Winnipeg police’s traffic division at 204-986-7085.
