(Nav Rahi/CBC)A person has died after being shot in a taxi in Langley, B.C., on Friday night, according to police.Langley RCMP said in a statement that they responded to calls of a shooting, around the intersection of 200 Street and 53 Avenue, just before 10:30 p.m. PT on Friday.Officers found a person who had been shot “inside a taxi,” according to a news release Saturday from the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT).The person died despite lifesaving efforts from first responders.IHIT said there is only one victim and there were no other reports of injuries.Police investigate a shooting in Langley, B.C., that killed one person Friday. (Nav Rahi/CBC)Police said they are investigating an address a few blocks away in the 20200 block of 53A Avenue.IHIT said police are trying to identify the victim and ascertain if the death is connected to the B.C. gang conflict, according to the news release.”At this point it is too early to provide additional details about the victim and motive,” said the release.Police are asking anyone with more information on the fatal shooting to contact IHIT.
