(Jillian Taylor/CBC)A person was rescued from the Red River on Thursday evening near the Redwood Bridge. The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a person on the water at around 10:15 p.m.It is unclear how the person came to be in the river or for how long they were there, the city said in a news release Friday morning. Crews found the person and using boats brought them to the shore. The person was assessed and treated by paramedics who transported them to hospital in stable condition. No information on the age or gender of the person was released. More from CBC Manitoba:
