(Ontario Provincial Police/YouTube)Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say they now believe Robbie Thomson, who has been missing for about two years in the Smiths Falls area southwest of Ottawa, was killed. They have charged three people with first-degree murder.Thomson was 34 when he was reported missing in October 2023. The investigation into his disappearance included air and dog searches and a recent $50,000 reward.Him going missing, along with two other local men either disappearing or being found dead within about a year, left residents on edge.Police have not linked the three cases.On Thursday, OPP said they still have not found Thomson, but they believe he was killed and the search is now for his body.Three people have been charged with first-degree murder: 48-year-old Christopher Fenton and 40-year-old Erin Mackie, both from nearby Montague Township, and 34-year-old Joshua Belfiori of Kingston.Each were arrested Wednesday, police said, and are expected in court on Thursday.OPP said their investigation continues and people around Kelly Jordan Road near Smiths Falls can expect a large police presence around a home as part of it.
