(CBC)Three teenaged hunters were arrested on Tuesday in what police are calling the accidental shooting of a 66-year-old man on his own property. On Tuesday, around 10:45 a.m., Treherne RCMP got a call about a man who was suffering from a gunshot wound at his home on Road 53 North in the RM of Victoria, RCMP said in a media release. RCMP say when officers arrived at the home, they were told the man had been taken to hospital in stable condition with a wounded arm. Police were told that an errant shot had been fired by a group of young hunters, striking the victim in an arm while he was outside on his property. RCMP arrested the teens — two boys, 16, and a 14-year-old girl — in a field. All have been charged with careless use of a firearm, discharging a firearm while being reckless, and assault with a weapon. The girl and one of the boys have both also been charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm. Treherne RCMP say they are continuing to investigate the incident.
