Mounties were called on Sunday at about 1:30 p.m. to a home in Peguis First Nation, about 150 kilometres north of Winnipeg in Manitoba’s Interlake district, according to a Friday news release. Police say the death of the man, 59, is an isolated incident and there’s no risk to public safety. However, it s being investigated as a homicide, with the RCMP major crimes unit taking the case.
