(Murray Titus/CBC)He said rescuers have talked to the family and believe Wong may have been planning to go to “the Lookout” on Burke Mountain.Hurley warned hikers to be well-prepared, and not go without a solid trip plan or without letting someone know where they’re going.”It was a beautiful day when [Wong] started his walk, but that night it started to rain heavily, and so he could have become disoriented, because this mountain’s covered in mountain bike trails and hiking trails,” the rescuer said.Hurley said crews have a tracker dog out and have borrowed a piece of equipment from North Shore SAR that can detect cell service, but the weather was too poor to fly through on Thursday.“We hope he’s hunkered down, and staying warm and dry if he can, and that he’ll eventually hear us coming and call out to us,” Hurley said.Police are asking anyone who may have seen Wong or have information on his whereabouts to call the Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2025-28682.With files from Pinki Wong and Lauren Vanderdeen
