Sparling’s session is titled Cainnt is Ceathramhan Language and Lyrics: The Living Legacy of Gaelic in Nova Scotia.  Article contentArticle content“Explore Gaelic’s cultural and linguistic history in Nova Scotia through song, story, and sound,” the museum’s promotional material states. “Discover some recently developed digital resources and learn about current research projects.” Article contentFollowing Sparling, on Nov. 26, is the executive director of Heritage Trust of Nova Scotia, Emma Lang. Article contentLang’s presentation is titled Uncovering the Past: Researching and Registering Heritage Buildings in Nova Scotia.  Article content“Discover the stories behind Nova Scotia’s older buildings and learn how to research their history,” a description of the presentation reads. “This presentation also explores the process of registering a heritage property — what it means, why it matters, and how to get started.” Article contentThe final session in the series takes place on Dec. 10 and will be conducted by local historians Lynn MacLean, Don Cosh, and John Ashton.
