Around 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, Ontario Provincial Police responded to a major collision between an SUV and a pickup truck along Highway 17 near Kenora, Ont., police said in a Sunday news release. The SUV’s driver and passenger, a 76-year-old woman from Dryden and a 68-year-old man from Ottawa, were pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Police said five people inside the pickup truck were injured and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.The investigation is ongoing, police said Sunday.
