(David Bell/CBC)A teenager was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by an RCMP vehicle Tuesday night on the Kawacatoose First Nation.The collision happened around 10 p.m. CST on the Kandahar grid road near a rural residence on the First Nation, which is about 125 km north of Regina.RCMP says an officer was responding to a firearms-related call when they hit a 16-year-old boy with their vehicle.STARS Air Ambulance airlifted the teen to hospital in Regina with serious injuries. He has since been transferred to Saskatoon.The Saskatchewan Serious Incident Response Team (SIRT) has been called in to investigate the collision.RCMP say the firearms-related incident officers were heading to remains under investigation.
