Thanksgiving 2025: What’s open and closed on P.E.I.

It’s a good idea to call ahead if you’re planning on going to a store, restaurant or service, especially if you don’t see it listed here.Government offices and servicesFederal and provincial government offices will be closed for the day, including Access P.E.I. locations.All P.E.I. public libraries will bel closedCharlottetown City Hall, Summerside City Hall and Three Rivers Town Hall will be closed.T3 Transit will not be operating.Island Waste Management Corporation will have an alternate pickup day on Saturday, Oct. 18.Tourism information centres in Borden-Carlton, Charlottetown and Wood Islands will be open.Canada Post will not be operating.Grocery and retailSobeys, Foodland, and Atlantic Superstore locations will be closed.Co-op locations will be closed, with the exception of the Wellington location, which will close Sunday and open Monday, and the Souris location, which will open from 9 to 4 p.m. Monday.Walmart, Dollarama and Giant Tiger locations will be closed.P.E.I. Liquor Control Commission locations will be closed.P.E.I.
