Both vehicles had substantial damage and fire fighters and bystanders were assisting the vehicle occupants when police arrived.Article contentArticle contentThe 74-year-old woman from New Victoria driving one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene.Article contentThe 26-year-old male driver of the second vehicle from Sydney was transported to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital by EHS paramedics with life-threatening injuries and later died in hospital.Article contentA third person involved, a passenger in one of the vehicles, was transported by EHS to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in serious condition and later airlifted to Halifax.
