Update: Alaska Highway reopens following collision

Yukon 511 is reporting a multi-vehicle collision that has closed the Alaska Highway between Teslin and Johnson’s Crossing. The Collision was reported at 4:43 a.m. the morning of May 7. Update May 7 11:00 a.m:  According to the Yukon RCMP the highway has reopened.  Yukon 511 is still advising motorists to exercise caution, be prepared to stop and to keep on the lookout for equipment and flag people.  in a Facebook post, the Yukon Department of Highways and public works specifies that the highway is open to single-lane alternating traffic.  Original Story: Yukon 511 is reporting a multi-vehicle collision that has closed the Alaska Highway between Teslin and Johnson’s Crossing. The Collision was reported at 4:43 a.m. the morning of May 7.  Motorists are being advised that all lanes of the highway are closed and that they should expect delays.
