What about for you, personally?Donna Jewell, DartmouthWhat do you think is the most important issue for Canada in this election? For Canada … I think for any nation, the most important thing is unity. We have to be unified in what’s important. I mean everybody wants, you know, some people want one thing, some people want another, but we have to look at those foundational things and the things that help build a country in the first place. But I think it’s unity. For you personally, what do you think is the most important issue for the election? I think to stay focused on other people and other people’s needs because we have to be sensitive to other people’s needs. I truly believe that when we recognize the brokenness that’s out there and we look after them, He looks after us.Article contentNicholas McCarthy, DartmouthFor you personally, what do you think is the most important issue for the election? I really don’t know. Put somebody in there that’s going to take control.Madison Muise, DartmouthWhat do you think is the most important issue for Canadians in this election?Homelessness and not being able to afford anything. For you personally, what do you think is the most important issue for the election? I guess securing jobs and also making sure you have enough money to afford food and also afford a house.Tim Horne, DartmouthWhat do you think is the most important issue for Canadians in this election?Really for me, there’s no debating what’s the most important right now. It’s obviously our existence as a country. The threats coming from the south are real, as we have normal threats coming from China and other countries as well have been real over the last number of years but now it’s getting more closer. So I think that’s our existential point of this election.Article contentFor you personally, what do you think is the most important issue for the election? I’d say affordability is still an important issue, but it’s dwarfed by the existential issue for me, certainly. So as I’m retired now, obviously living on a pension is becoming harder and harder to make ends meet, so that’s an issue that we deal with on a month-by-month basis. It’s an issue, but giving much more priority to the existence of the country that I live in.Recommended from Editorial We asked people in Halifax: Are you voting in this federal election?
