(Francis Ferland/CBC)The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is seeking witnesses to a fatal collision in west Ottawa on Thursday in which a woman in her 80s died. Emergency services responded to a collision between a dump truck and another vehicle around 1 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of Fallowfield and Eagleson roads, OPS and paramedics told CBC News.A woman in her 80s was pronounced dead at the scene, while a man in his 80s was hospitalized with serious but stable injuries, OPS said in a statement Friday. Investigators want to speak with anyone who witnessed the crash or may have dashcam or surveillance footage of the incident.The scene is south of Kanata and about 20 kilometres southwest of the city’s core.
