(Radio-Canada)A woman is facing multiple charges after Winnipeg police allege she pushed a relative out of a second-storey window of an apartment block in June, and then assaulted the victim earlier this week with the crutches she needed to get around. Sometime in June, the young woman, 21, visited a female relative at an apartment in the Daniel McIntyre neighbourhood and an argument broke out when the relative wouldn’t allow her inside, police said in a news release Friday. Police say the woman sneaked into the building and inside the relative’s unlocked suite. The relative was sitting on the windowsill of an open second-storey window when the woman pushed her out, according to the release. The relative was seriously injured when she hit the concrete below, police said. A bystander called emergency services but a police report was not made at the time, officials say. On Wednesday, police said the accused woman encountered the victim on Selkirk Avenue and an argument erupted.According to police, the woman grabbed the victim’s crutches, assaulted her with them, and kicked her existing injury. The suspect then ran off with the crutches, police said. Police said the woman threatened to harm the victim during a phone call on Thursday, and that’s when officers were notified of the June assault and the attack earlier this week, according to the release. The woman was arrested around 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, police said. The woman is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault, robbery, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. She was detained in custody, police said. More from CBC Manitoba:
