(Radio-Canada)A Winnipeg woman has been arrested in a crash that killed a 75-year-old pedestrian in the city’s Little Italy neighbourhood last fall.Winnipeg police previously reported the 75-year-old man had been taken to hospital in unstable condition after being hit by a black 2022 Kia Seltos SUV in the area of Corydon Avenue and Lilac Street on Oct. 3. The man died from his injuries on Oct. 11.Police said in a Friday news release a 44-year-old woman had been arrested in connection with the crash.An update issued Friday afternoon said some of the information included in that initial release was inaccurate.Winnipeg police clarified to CBC that the initial charge laid against the woman was inaccurate. They said an update on the charge will be issued next week.The woman was released on an appearance notice, police said.
