The man was brought to Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.Article contentArticle contentThe RNC called in the Bay of Islands Search and Rescue (BOISAR) team to assist in the search for the other man.Article contentIn a Facebook post, BOISAR said that 18 members deployed to the location and began a systematic search of the area by boat, canoe, drone, underwater camera and thermal imaging camera.Article contentThe missing man’s body was located in the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 28.Article contentBoth the RNC and BOISAR expressed condolences to the deceased man’s family and friends.Article contentBOISAR also extended thanks to the Summerside Lions Club for providing their space to the team, to members of the Hughes Brook-Irishtown-Summerside (HIS) Fire Department for their support and to local cabin owners for their generosity and kindness during the incident.Article contentThe team also thanked the RNC for their support and co-operation, and the RNC thanked the team for its assistance.Article content
