Woman charged with murder of Liard First Nation man in Watson Lake, Yukon

A woman in southeast Yukon has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a First Nations man. Jennifer Jules, 37, of Watson Lake, is accused of killing Alvin Stone. APTN News confirmed Stone was from Liard First Nation. According to a statement from the RCMP, officers responded to a call reporting “an injured man” in Watson Lake. Jules was already facing charges from an alleged assault on Aug. 12 involving a torch lighter. Her next court date is Oct. 15 in Whitehorse.
